In 2019, the Alícia Awards were born, the annual awards given by the music sector in Catalonia promoted by the Catalan Academy of Music with the aim of promoting, making visible and givint value to the music produced within the Catalan territory and the set of its activity, without distinction of sorts or styles promoting the artistic, cultural and social values of music.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Atlàntida Theater in Vic, as part of the Vic Live Music Market (MMVV) on September 21, 2019 in an event with the artistic direction of Roger Farré and the comprehensive audiovisual production of the contents of the gala at the hands of Digital Films.
The music was the absolute protagonist and this was denoted by the approach of the event: the content disseminated through two circular screens conveyed the whole event that did not have any presenter. The video capsules alternated a tender love story and discovery towards music with the presentation of the nominees and accompanied the live musical performances. With the turns of the discs playing, the images of each block were exchanged to drive the act from start to finish.
