Surely there are few exercises as liberating as dance wich, at the same time, drive a path to self-knowledge. So, why do not use this artistic language for the development of the youngest? This is the aim of the new Dan Dan Dansa educational resource promoted jointly by “la Caixa” Foundation and Mercat de les Flors.

The Teaching Suitcase – Dan Dan Dansa is a pedagogical resource from the Mercat de les Flors that was born with the aim of offering tools to include dance in school from a non-professional field. The format? A suitcase that has been traveling through the schools of Catalonia since 2007.

After the project aroused the interest of the CaixaEscena educational portal, we were commissioned by the Foundation to digitalize the contents and the methodology of the Didactic Suitcase to integrate it into its online platform.

Dan Dan Dansa has various audiovisual materials: interactive, videos, tutorials, visual and plastic materials that we have produced entirely from Digital Films taking care of both the content and the form. One of the main attractions of the project is the collaboration of expert choreographers such as Cesc Gelabert, Toni Mira and Àngels Margarit, among others, in the explanatory videos that form the backbone of the project.

The initiative has served to reach more teachers and primary and secondary schools and make it easier for more students in the area to enjoy the world of dance.
