The training includes the methodology of the Participa Méliès video competition and accompanies primary, secondary, UEC teachers, training cycles and special education in the production of at least one silent short film in the classroom which incorporates a cinematic trick from Georges Méliès.
To achieve this, teachers enjoy both methodological and practical training that consists of online sessions to learn the basics of film language and practical sessions at the CaixaForum in Girona, Barcelona, Lleida and Tarragona. Registered schools also have the possibility of carrying out face-to-face audiovisual introductory practical activities with students, and participating in complementary activities related to cinema as From imagination to screen (De la imaginació a la pantalla).
Early cinema is developed within eduCaixa’s platform, where teachers have access to resources and specific educational content of the training and has a point and end in CaixaForum where films made with students are screened, in a final exhibition of collective celebration.
