Films for schools program aims to encourage the interest of children and young people in cinema, as well as to train the public of the future by valuing our cinematographic heritage through activities aimed at all educational levels: morning film sessions and introductory sessions to film language accompanied by teaching materials, workshops, visits, thematic itineraries and resources for teachers. The sessions are facilitated by entities specialized in film and audiovisual culture, like us.

Film literacy
2018-22
Cinematographic images have the ability to stimulate the sensitive experience of little and younger viewers. Knowing some aesthetic, expressive and technical aspects that shape them can help them value visual culture meaning and diversity.
In our sessions we investigate the artistic value of cinema and its pedagogical possibilities in the educational context and provide a space for interpretation, critical commentary on images and films. In total we offer 6 film programs aimed at primary, secondary, high school, vocational training and special education. Each program includes the screening of a film and/or short films and more specific educational actions such as creative activities or spaces for interaction with the students.
In the primary school program, the screenings are complemented by audiovisual creation activities that we carry out in the room during the session. In the elementary school, high school, Baccalaureate and higher degrees programs, the screenings are complemented with a space for dialogue with boys and girls about the most relevant aspects of each film.
All sessions include teaching materials and suggested classroom activities.
Classics to take flight (Initial Cycle – Middle Cycle)

Illusions of all times (Middle Cycle)
How is fantasy constructed in cinema? Where is the magic of images? 3rd and 4th grade boys and girls have the opportunity to take part in creating cinema tricks in the room and to enjoy a screening of short films full of magic. We approach the origins of special effects and discover the relationship between cinema and science.
