Films for schools

The Films for the schools program aims to encourage the interest of children and young people in cinema, as well as to train the public of the future by valuing our cinematographic heritage through activities aimed at all educational levels: morning film sessions and introductory sessions to film language accompanied by teaching materials, workshops, visits, thematic itineraries and resources for teachers. The sessions are facilitated by entities specializing in film and audiovisual culture, such as us.

"Rediscovering contemporary cinema"

Cinematographic images have the ability to stimulate the sensitive experience of younger and younger viewers. Knowing some aesthetic, expressive and technical aspects that make them up can help them value the meaning and diversity of visual culture.

In our sessions we investigate the artistic value of cinema and its pedagogical possibilities in the educational context and provide a space for interpretation, for the critical commentary on the images and films we see. In total we offer 6 film programs aimed at primary, secondary, high school, vocational training and special education. Programs include the screening of a film and/or short films and more specific educational actions such as creative activities or spaces for interaction with students.

In the primary school program, the screenings are complemented by audiovisual creation activities that we carry out in the room during the session. In the elementary school, high school, Baccalaureate and higher degrees programs, the screenings are complemented by a space for dialogue with the boys and girls about the most relevant aspects of each film.

All sessions include teaching materials and suggested classroom activities.
