Our imagination has some great ideas, but … how do they go on screen?
We offer a workshop to familiarize yourself with the language and the cinematic process and learn how to make a fantastic fantasy short film.
We will start with Georges Méliès and then, through practical exercises, we will easily go from the idea to the script, from the script to the recording (including some very simple special effects) and, finally, to the editing, and we will finish the workshop with an audiovisual piece created or prepared to continue working on it.
“La Caixa” Foundation
We have been teaching the From Imagination to Screen workshop at all the CaixaForums in Spain every year since 2015. The activity offers a dynamic and exciting introduction to audiovisual creation for school groups and families with children and girls from 8 years.
The workshops bring together thousands of schools and hundreds of CaixaForum participants from Barcelona, Tarragona, Lleida, Girona, Madrid and Seville each year and have been successfully replicated as part of the Participa Méliès project in events such as the International Fantastic Film Festival of Sitges, Festival de Cans, the MICE (International Educational Film Festival of Valencia) or the C-FEM (Fantastic Film Festival of Murcia), among others.
