5 minutes late

A character arrives at a place in Barcelona where he has to wait five minutes, often because the person he is to see is late. During this waiting time, the protagonist realizes something unsuspected in the environment and this fact acts as a trigger for a short fiction, which takes place over the five minutes of waiting. The chapters take place in public spaces in Barcelona, peripheral or not, and the action often has to do with a characteristic feature of the area. The place becomes one more character.

Each episode of the series lasts five minutes, is self-conclusive, and stars one or two characters. There is an intention to make the viewer aware of an organic time; silences gain presence and dialogues are minimal. Timestamps are also a central motif throughout the series and will usually be represented by a clock or mobile phone.
